The Braces!!

Well we got lucky with Amanda and didn't have to enter the world of high price facial work ups. Thank heavens! But we didn't get so lucky with our second child Emily. We'll have to wait a while to see if we get lucky with Kyle. She didn't escape pre-tweener age without making a pit stop at at the Ortho Shop. She was so excited to hear that she had to have braces. I really never have seen a child more jazzed about getting braces. Even after they went on and yes kind of hurt, she was still glad to have them. She was disappointed that the kind she had to have didn't require her to put on colored bands. But she still loves them. I think she looks cute in them. She takes care in cleaning her teeth and loves the electric toothbrush they gave her. She is having fun with it so far. Let's hope this continues the whole 18 months she will be wearing them. Luckily for us she only has to do one phase and only has to wear them for 18 months. Whew... well not whew for the banker... when did metal become so pricey.
