Summer Fun Idaho Style 8-09

We finished off our summer with a wonderful trip to Idaho. We love going there, we can't wait until Idaho is our new permanent home. Until then we have to settle for visits as often as we can. We packed alot into 7 days, & it was worth it. We visited with our great friends Ed & Velda Danielson, who were visting my parents for a few days. We were lucky enough to be there at the same time. Then Grandpa Bob & Grandma Mona drove down for a few days to spend some time with us too. We were lucky enough to see Deanna & Christian for a few days too. What a FANTASTIC way to get it all in.

Here is Cody running free, he loves that he can be off leash all around the neighborhood.
This is Chomper & Julienne my parents sheep. They are huge, & all they do is eat & poop. But they are really cute, & so fluffy. The kids loved feeding the sheep & chasing them around the yard. They will follow you anywhere if you have food. RUN FREE, AS FREE AS THE WIND BLOWS... Slip & Sliding, Spinning & Turning, Wet Water Slidin Fun In The Sun!!! In the face!!!! The winner is??? Kyle by a hand... Looks like a tie, too close to call.

Wheeping Willow Trees, LOVE THEM! This is the end result of a very long day of playing with her cousins. Caitlyn passed out cold on the middle of the floor. She did this 3 times while we were there that week. A very crazy night of SPOONS, high light, no one was seriously injured. BUT OH SO MUCH FUN!!! Love the action shot of Kevin trying to grab the spoon that Amanda already has in her hand. This was hilarious!!! This is a great picture. The Danielson's, we really love you guys. It was so great to spend some time with you. I hope we get to do it again real soon.Ed was actually ribbeting along with the big fuzzy frog.Of course no kid can ever not be amazed at how huge Ed's hands are. Look they are pretty much the same size as Kyle's head, & Kyle has a big dome. Mom & Velda who have been friends since forever spent pretty much the whole time gabbing. It was pretty cute though, just like they were teeney boppers.Dad & Ed, they talked shop about everything from motor homes to ride on lawn mowers. We spent time with Grandpa Bob & Grandma Mona also this trip. Which is always a special treat. We did tons of fun stuff too. We went to the Idaho Children's Museum, which was full of all sorts of hands on types of activities. Then we went to the Nature Museum which had this very cool outdoors nature walk which had this see through window into the river bed, very cool. We actually totally by accident ran into my parents & the Danielson's, too funny. We did Zoo Boise, which is a really neat place to check out.We also spent some time swimming at their indoor hotel pool, the kids liked that lots. We played games at their hotel, it was like a vacation in a vacation.

Grandpa Bob DOES NOT LIKE HIS PICTURE TAKEN!!! If you can ever get a smile out of this guy it is a rare citing.

While we were in Idaho we got the chance to see some very amazing thunder & lightening spectaculars. It was really beautiful. We also love getting out & walking through Grandma & Grandpa's neighborhood. You always feel so good there.

This is my post card picture, I love it.

Ah yes is there any man happier then my dad on his ride on lawn mower. This is one of the activities we were so excited to do while visiting Idaho in the summer. Float the Boise River. It was SO SO SO AWESOME!!! Just so beautiful, so peaceful & just so much fun. There weren't any crazy rapids that were too scary, but just enough to give you a thrill. The kids had a blast & can't wait to do it again. Next time we are going to get Grandma to come with us, she will love it too.

Hey thanks sister! Hey where did you get the picture that you added to our blog the title pic? I haven't seen that one. Can you get it to me, or make me a copy I would love to have that in black in white as an 8x10 or 5x7 in sepia. Work on that. Or send my copies of what you have so I can see them. Thanks for changing my blog back ground. One day I will learn how to do that myself. LOVE YOU :)
