SPORTS-PARK-DOG-KIDS- THE GREAT OUTDOORS!

We spend a lot of time at the dog park for Cody. He loves going there & running & running & lately digging alot after this crazy groundhog family that has not so smartly chosen to build their family mansion under the dog park. I think their contractor might be fired. I am not sure why they haven't packed up & moved to a safer spot. But it gives all the dogs something to do as they dig like maniacs after these things. Some of the groundhogs are either very brave or totally hopped up on groundhog crack that they actually stick their little heads up while dogs are in the park. This drives the dogs nutty, but they always seem to get away without any incident. Anywho... Cody who has never been a digger goes into crazed dig mode while at the dog park. He still runs but every time he makes the circle over by the holes he stops dead in his tracks to dig.

We like to go, the kids love to hang out by the pond (nasty, algae filled funk water) we even saw a turtle sunning itself onetime.

They sure are whacky, but they are kind of cute when they play together. Sadly, they are too big for the small dog park.

Best friends forever!

Kyle loves soccer, it's the only sport that he really enjoys. It's fun to watch him play. This past year he realized that he's a big dude & can use his size to his advantage. All of a sudden he became this really agressive player. We have had to have some talks about being a good sport. Which is crazy, bc we never thought we would have to. Secretly it's kind of cool to see him come alive on the field. We just have to remind him to dial back his excitement for winning- which is not really a bad thing right... Good sports cheerers! These two are BEYOND goofy together. It's almost nauseating! Kyle got to try his hand at being goalie. Which he actually enjoyed more then he thought. He didn't like when all the action was on the other side of the field & he had nothing to do. He also discovered he has a big leg & can kick the ball really far.

Look at that extension, impressive flexibility! Yes this was one of those times when the ball was on the otherside of the field, translation- BORING!

Emily is a great little softball player. She loves to play this sport, almost as much as she loves soccer (which is her favorite) She is a crazy fast baserunner. She steals the bases all of the time. I think she will be the one who holds the record in bases stollen when she hits highschool. She's such a stud! Look at that complete concentration, very nice!

We totally love watching are kids play sports. Both Kev & I grew up playing sports & are very much a family that is into all things sports. So this is great fun for us to be able to watch them excell. Not too mention I think our family might have a problem with being a tad bit competative... family game nights almost never end peacefully!
